Good morning everyone!
Last night I started working on a very complicated/masking heavy card and it just wasn't coming together for me. So after working on it for waaaay too long, I put it aside and decided to clear my mind and go simple. I pulled out my mini set Bug Me Anytime. I love the cute little bugs that come in this set!
The card base is Kraft and measures 4.25x4.25. Then I cut a 2.5x2.5 panel from some Gina K. Pure Luxury Cardstock that Kelli brought over for me to try yesterday. I have to tell you, this paper is so silky smooth and great to use with Copic markers. I can see why it's called Pure Luxury! I made a mat for the white panel with black card stock and then stamped the sentiment on the white layer. The bees were stamped on scrap paper, colored with Copic markers, cut out and added to the white panel with dimensionals. To finish it off, I added the main panel to the card base using dimensionals.
So the lesson for today is: If your card just isn't coming together for you and you've spent well over an hour on it, (Not that I would ever spend that much time on a card ;) it's time to put it aside and make something super simple. Especially if it's close to midnight and you have to get up early with the kiddos ;)
Come back tomorrow to check out Jessie's super cute DFF project! We will also be hosting our first weekly challenge on the TSG Forum!
