TSG34- Is it Spring Break yet???

I know that winter just officially began but now that the holidays are over, I am sooo ready to break out my flower stamps lol! This week's challenge on the TSG Blog is to create a card/project that features flowers.

For my card I used the brand new, just released set Garden Of Friends. This set has a ton of beautiful flowers that can be colored and arranged in so many different ways and at only $15 it's a steal!

I stamped my images onto white cardstock in Momento Tuxedo Black and colored them with a blender pen and SU inks. I then added some sparkle with a Stardust Gelly Roll pen before cutting them out and adding them to the main panel. The DP is from my Kelli collection so I have no idea who makes it, sorry!
I hope you have some time to play along in this challenge this week for a chance to win a $5 TSG gift certificate!

Garden Of Friends Blog Hop!

Welcome to day one of the sneak peek Blog Hop Challenges! If you made your way here from Jackie's blog then you are on the right track! If not, you may want to head back to the TSG Blog to find out what this is all about and how you can win today's featured stamp set!!
Winter just officially began yesterday but I am so ready for some spring beauty! Today the Trendsetters are giving sneak peeks of the brand new, soon to be released stamp set Garden Of Friends. This stamp set was inspired by a dear friend of mine who has an amazing garden. Whenever I go to her house, she always has gorgeous floral arrangements. During one of our stamping get togethers at her house this summer there was this beautiful arrangement in a vintage looking pitcher. Below is a picture of the actual arrangement and the stamp set was created from it's inspiration-

For my card today, I used one of Julee's great Mojo sketch challenges. I stamped the image in Momento Tuxedo Black and colored it with blender pens and SU ink. The DP used is a from a great stack that I found waiting for me on my front porch from my wonderful friend Kelli :) I love friends like that lol!

And now for this week's TSG Challenge! Our challenge for you this week is to create a non holiday related winter card. You can check out all of the details and find out how you can win a TSG gift certificate right here on the TSG Blog.

This card was completely inspired by my girl Maki (Have you noticed the I gain a lot of inspiration from the Trendsetters?? lol!) and her gorgeous creation made with the new stamp set Craftier Taglines. I kept the layout she used along with the paper piercing and ribbon treatments but changed the stamp set (I used one of the sale sets Branching Out!), colors, DP (by K&co.) and embellishments.

***************************
Today is a very bittersweet day for me. My youngest daughter Kayla is now officially four years old. We were taken by complete surprise when we found out that I was pregnant with her (After all I already had a 24 month old AND a 6 month old at the time!) and she has been keeping us all on our toes ever since. She is such a ray of sunshine and definitely the baby of the family and she won't let anyone forget it lol!

The third year of life for my children has been such an amazing transformation to watch! In 12 short months they go from toddler to child. With Kayla it has been a little difficult for me because this officially means that there are no more binkies, diapers, sippy cups, rocking a baby to sleep and all of those other things that I have cherished so much. I will forever miss the baby days of my girls but now I get to enjoy the fun of raising children. (I sure hope that this part takes longer because I am soooo not ready to raise 3 teenage girls lol!) Through their eyes I get to experience the wonderful imagination of pretend play and exploring new places as well as the responsibility of teaching my girls the importance of being kind and respectful, communication and trying to answer the never ending questions that constantly take Matt and I by surprise. And actually Kayla just asked one right now "mommy, who are you texting on the computer?" lol!

So with that, I am off to spend the day with my beautiful girls and celebrate Kayla's first day of being four years old :) Happy Birthday Kayla-Bayla! Mommy, daddy and sisters love you so very much you crazy little monkey!

Stop by tomorrow and join us in our Changing Of The Seasons Blog Hop Challenge. Not only will you be inspired by the Trendsetter's beautiful creations using the Sale sets but you just may win one!

TSG33- Time to layer up

Happy Tuesday to all of you in blog land! I am so sorry to have disappeared over this last week but things have been so crazy busy around here. Between finishing up Christmas cards (I will be showing some of them later in the week), stamp set designing, shipping orders, holiday decorating, school projects, never ending laundry and all of the other domestic goddess responsibilities, my head is spinning!

Our Trendsetter of the week Wendy has a great challenge for us this week that is only fitting with all of the cold weather moving in. It's time to layer up! That's right, the challenge this week is to make a card with lots of layers (min. of 3). For my card today I used my new favorite layout that I got from Jodi and used the mini set Ice Cream. I'm not sure how you would count the layers on this thing but I'm thinking there has to be at least 6.

I stamped the ice cream, cone and cherry onto Very Vanilla cardstock. I used a Quickie (sp?) glue pen on the ice cream and cherry before I added some beautiful sparkly glitter that I got from Kelli. For the ice cream cone, I colored with a blender pen and ink pad then added glitter to that as well. I then cut out all of the pieces, adhered them together and added them to my nestie cut Chocolate Chip layer with dimensionals. I love how pretty the ice cream cone came out and I have a feeling that I am going to be adding lots of glitter on more cards to come :)
Inside of card-

Wonderful You

I wanted to share this card that I made awhile ago using the mini sets Everyday Greetings and Dream Big. Silhouette images are so much fun and so versatile! I love the custom stamped DP I was able to create by stamping the flower image from Dream Big in Tempting Turquoise, then stamped off once before stamping a different flower in a staggering pattern. To finish it off, I stamped a leaf type image from the Dream Big set in black to give a nice contrast. This card did not take very long to make and it was one of those nice 'no thinking' type of cards :)

TSG32- Fun with Tags!

This week our Trendsetter of the week Sandra has a great challenge for us! The challenge is to create a tag of some sort. Tags are so much fun to create and are great to give along with gifts or even to use on your cards!

For my tag today, I used the fun Penguin Love set. The images were stamped onto Very Vanilla cardstock, colored with a blender pen and SU inks, cut out and adhered to the tag with dimensionals. The tag was created with a Nestability and decorated with twine and buttons.
Tag Recipe:
Stamps-
Penguin Love
Paper- Riding Hood Red, Very Vanilla, DP
Ink- Sahra Sand, Momento Tuxedo Black, Riding Hood Red, Pretty In Pink, Old Olive, Soft Sky, Pumpkin Pie
Accessories- Blender Pen, Twine, Nestabilities, buttons, stardust gelly roll pen, white gel pen.

Make sure you check out this week's Week In Review on the TSG Blog and leave a comment for your chance to win one of the Trendsetter's fabulous creations from the week!!

Happy Friday!

Tonight is the Friday Night Chat over at the TSG Forum. The official chat starts here at 7:00 PM Pacific Time (10 PM Eastern) but feel free to stop in at any time during the day to say hello :) You need to be a registered member of the forum to be able to view/post so make sure you take a couple of minutes to do that first. 'See' you all tonight!!
Happy Friday everyone! It took a few days but we finally have our tree up and decorated and it's starting feel more festive around here :)
I started this card a few days ago and had a few minutes last night to finish it up. All images are from the new set Birdie Wishes which I have been having so much fun with! I stamped the images together onto Very Vanilla and cut them out (using a craft knife for the enclosed areas) before adhering them to the front panel with dimensionals. The papers that I used were some of the many that I got from my friend Kelli and I think that they were Cosmo Cricket.
Have a wonderful weekend everyone and I hope to see you at the chat tonight!

Busy, busy, BUSY!

I've got a ton of things that I'm working on both work-wise and craft-wise! I wanted to show you a project that I've been working on for the last couple of days that I'm hoping to finish up today. It's an advent box! I got this idea from one of the talented ladies from my stamping group. She made a gorgeous box and I just knew that I had to make one!

First off, I have to say a HUGE thank you to my wonderful friend Kelli! She is such a giving person and a ton of fun to hang out with. Not only did she let me totally raid her (amazing!) designer paper supply but she loaned me her Big Shot, Cricut, Matchbook Die and a ton of other things!! I told you, she's great :) And did I mention that she only lives a few minutes from me??? ;)

I will be using these advent boxes for something special for the girls. Instead of the traditional advent chocolate calendar that I grew up with, in each of the 'drawers' will be supplies for the girls to make their own ornaments to add to the small Christmas tree that their grammy is bringing them today. The ornaments will be simple punch outs with cut out stamped images that will just need to be colored and assembled and if they are really good, maybe a sprinkling of glitter ;). I did mention that I have three girls ages (almost) 4, 5, and 6 right?!? Quick and easy is always best lol!!

Pretty much all of the supplies to create this project were raided from Kelli's store... ahem.. I mean craftroom. This is just the beginning of the project. I first used the SU Matchbook die to cut out 24 boxes for each advent box. There are three. I am SO happy that I did not have to use my cuttlebug for all of those lol!! I adhered them all together first with red line tape and when that ran out I used my trusty Aileens glue :) The base and top were created by cutting a 5.5 in. piece of chipboard and covering it with a 6 in. piece of DP. Today I am hoping to finish adding the drawer pulls, 'legs' and decorate it. I still need to find some one who has the SU tree die cut so I can get a few of those made to add to the tops....

I'll make sure to show you guys the finished product when it is finally completed!

TSG31- It's a color challenge!

This week our challenge is brought to us by our scrappy Trendsetter of the week- Julie! Our challenge this week is to use the colors red, blue, green and only neutrals. What a great color challenge to use as we scurry to finish up our holiday cards lol! You can find out all the details on this challenge and how you can win a $5 gift certificate to the TSG store right HERE.

For my first card, I used the just released set Holiday Tags. The images were stamped in Momento Tuxedo Black, colored with a blender pen and SU inks, cut out and adhered to the Very Vanilla layer that was stamped in Sahara Sand. I also added some sparkle with my Stardust Gelly Roll pen but you can't really see it in this picture.

Here is another card that I made but it incorporates some pink which is totally just another shade of red right??? LOL! I love making these types of cards. They are so simple yet really stand out! The images used on this card are from the set HSH Holiday Additions (which is expected to be back in stock today or tomorrow!). The images were stamped in Momento Tuxedo Black, colored with a blender pen and inks, sparkled, and I added a rhinestone to the flower centers.
