Special Delivery

I loved seeing how excited you guys are about the LOL Taglines set! I can't wait to show you guys the full sets tomorrow, you're gonna love them!

Today I'm showing a couple of cards made with the new set Special Delivery. This set is so cute and I have had so much fun playing with it!

This first card has a lot of dimension to it. I love the depth to it! The letters were stamped on white CS and the rest of the images are colored with copic markers. I stamped the mailbox and grass a couple of times so that I could add more layers to the image. I love the sentiment and I think all of you stampers out there will too!

For this card, I decided to go simple. I made the cloud background (found here) and then stamped the image and colored it with copic markers. Who wouldn't love to get a mailbox full of cupcakes for their birthday???
Come back tomorrow so that I can finally show you the full sets!!

Ever have "one of those days"?

Well.... I seem to have them more often than not lol! These two cards feature some stamps from the new set LOL Taglines.

This card makes me giggle because no matter where I go in my house to try to get some "quite time" I have a little one bugging me within 30 seconds. I'm sure some of you can relate ;) I used the same papers that I used on yesterday's door set because they still happened to be on my huge craft desk. I just love the soft colors!
An I could definitely use a card like this every once in while. I love this set because it is quirky and perfect for cards that you send to your good friends. I mean seriously, you can only send so many "heartfelt" cards before it gets repetitive. You need to spice it up every now and then!

Tomorrow I will be showing a couple of cards made with the set Special Delivery. Then on Wednesday I will be showing you all three of the new release sets in their entirety! You definitely won't want to miss that! :)

Are you ready?

For a little sneak peek?? I have two cards for you today using the new set Welcome Home which will be available on the There She Goes website on January first! I love the elegance of this set and the beautiful sentiments that come with it.

I used the main door frame and one (of 2) door styles and then colored it in using a blender pen with my SU inks. I then popped up the layer on dimensionals for a little added depth. I also colored the windows with my stardust gelly roll pen to give the windows some sparkle.
This next card is made using the shrub that comes in the Welcome Home set. I colored in the leaves/bush with blender pen and Mellow Moss ink and colored the rest with copic markers. I stamped the image again on a scrap paper and colored in another set of leaves/bush to add to the top with dimensionals. On the pot I used some Diamond Glaze to give it that ceramic look.

So what do you guys think so far? Make sure you come back tomorrow to see some cards that will make you giggle ;)

Dollar Find Friday (Jessica-picture frame)

Happy Friday! I am sooo glad that I get a weekend to recover from Christmas :)

I don't have a complete tutorial for you today but I wanted to show you a few gifts that I made for our neighbors. I have this great picture that I took this summer of all of the neighborhood kids that I just love. Don't ask me how I got 6 kids all between the ages of 2-5 to sit in one place for longer than 10 seconds, but I did lol!

I got each of the frames from the Dollar Tree. Each frame was just plain black when I bought it. I wasn't sure how I was going to decorate them when I bought them but with all of the "stuff" that I have, I knew I would come up with something. I went looking for some vellum quote pages that I had but in the process found my white SU rub ons instead! Perfect! Boy am I glad that I horded those ;) After I was done putting on the rub ons, I added a little bling by gluing on some rhinestones.

Busy little bee...

Well, I guess busy little elf is more like it! I have sooo much to do today and I won't get to do any stamping for today. I have lots of cookies cookies to bake, a few gift baskets to finish up, and a ton of presents to wrap when the girls are in bed. I'm pretty sure that I'm going to be going non stop!

I hope that you all have a wonderful day!

DRS Designs Blog Challenge (Bling)

It's another challenge week over at the DRS Designs blog. This week the challenge is all about the bling. That could mean glitter, rhinestones, shimmer powder, what ever you think blings :) We would love for you to play along! If you upload your challenge to any online galleries, use the keyword drsc11 so that we can all see your lovely work!

I thought that since we've had so many snow days lately that it would only be appropriate that I make a snowflake themed card :) Sorry about the poor quality of the photo. It's hard to tell but the snow flakes were embossed with clear sparkle embossing powder and for some added bling, I added a few rhinestones under the sentiment. All images on this card are by DRS Designs.

And of course we can't forget about this week's WIR winner!

Congrats Debbie! Let me know which card you would like and that will be sent out to you!

Thank you all for your birthday wishes to our Kayla. She had a wonderful birthday party that ended with all of us going sledding afterward. The kids had a blast but I'm not sure they had as much fun as the grown ups did lol! I also wanted to share a couple of pictures of all of the snow that we have had.

This is the view from my back deck. It looks like a beautiful winter wonderland :)

I took a picture of Matt's trailer so that you guys could see how much snow we have had in less than a week! Hopefully we won't get a big flood like last year when all of this melts!!

Week In Review (Dec. 15- 21) & Card Give Away!

It's Sunday! Not only is it Week In Review day but it is now only 4 (or 5, depends on how you look at it) days till Christmas! Are you guys ready for it?? I'm not! I plan on getting through Kayla's birthday today and then I can start to really focus on Christmas ;)

By the looks of the samples for this week's review, the DT has had some time nice and warm in their craft room to do some amazing stamping! Who ever is the winner this week is going to have a hard time choosing their favorite.

What is Week In Review (WIR)?- WIR is where I showcase cards made by me and the There She Goes Design Team made throughout the week. Not only do you get to see gorgeous samples made by the DT but you also have the chance to WIN one of the cards! Just leave a comment on this post and tomorrow (Monday) I will pick a winner using a random number generator. That person will then get to pick their favorite card and the DT member that made it will send it to the them!

Inspiration

There is supposed to be a big storm coming in and we're going to be getting lots of snow. I am so thankful that the storm waited until the weekend to come so that Matt will be home with us :) The girls are going to have so much fun this weekend. We will get to do lots of sledding and snowman building and on Sunday my baby turns 3. When did that happen?? I still see her as my baby so thinking of her as 3 years old is going to take some getting used to....

Dollar Find Friday (Bev- Valentine's Candy Jar)

This week's Dollar Find Friday is brought to you by the super sweet Bev. She is very talented and can always make me giggle :)

It is my honor today to welcome you to Dollar Find Friday! If you remember right, the There She Goes designers take turns hosting Dollar Find Friday and today it's MY turn! My dollar item is this week is this humble yet super useful Ball jar.
Hello sugar. Prepare to be pimped!
To pimp one of your very own jars, you will need:

~designer paper(cut into a large circle -measure the lid and add an inch to either side), I used Parisian Summer dsp by Stampin' Up!
~stamped pretties for the lid (Sending My Love set used here)
~mini glue dots to hold the designer paper to the lid
~twine or thread to hold the paper around the lid
~ribbon to gussy it up
~yummy candy to fill this baby
Here is a tip for ya:When tying on the twine/thread, holding the paper down can be frustrating. Take the scrunchy out of your hair and use it to hold the paper down while you tie it in place. I love multi-purpose tools!! :)Now you can tie the ribbon over the twine and make a nice bow toward where you want the front to be.
As for the lid, I used my Coluzzle to cut out the circles, then took my corner rounder punch and made a scalloped edge on the Pink Pirouette piece (you can find directions for that HERE). The tree and sentiment and little heart behind the sentiment are all from the SUPRAH cute new mini set called Sending My Love, by There She Goes. It's just like that cool tree set of her that I love (Branching Out) but smaller and it's a total steal!!!
I stamped it onto watercolor paper, used my Aquapainter and SU! markers to watercolor it. I used some barely banana around the tree to highlight it. The hearts all have some sparkle to them, by taking my At You Spica clear glitter pen to them. I also used some Flower Soft on the puffy pink hearts to add some fun, soft texture. So there you have it. I filled mine up with Swedish Fish b/c they go so well with the Valentines colors...that and I don't care for red hots. Eww. Heat should not be combined with sweetness...unless it's creme brulee. Then torch it baby! :)Do ya like the jar? It cost me a buck! :)

Thanks Bev, that is such a cute project!!
And here is the winner for yesterday's blog candy;
