Dollar Find Friday (Mint tin)

Happy Halloween everyone! Our girls are so excited about going trick-or-treating, I love seeing the excitement on their little faces. I have to admit, it makes me a little emotional watching them go up to the doors all by themselves to get the treats. I know, I'm a sap ;) Ok, enough babble, on to what you guys are here for in the first place lol!
ETA- Tomorrow, I will be announcing the Featured Designer! The Featured Designer will get to work with me on designing a stamp set of their choice. To pick a winner, I will use a random number generator to chose from the customers that ordered in the month of Oct.
Introducing-

Tea For Two
Set of 13
8x6
$17

Tea For Two Special Blend
Set of 15
4x6
$12I am so excited about these two sets! I have been playing with them so much since I got them and I LOVE both sets!! Both of these sets will be available for purchase tomorrow Nov. 1st!

I wanted to share with you a little gift basket that I put together using this set. Which brings us to Dollar Find Friday! The tutorial that I will be showing you is how to decorate these clear top tins to turn them into a mint holder/ornament.

Supplies-

Paper (DP, Pink Pirouette, Very vanilla)

Tins (3 pk at Dollar Tree)

Crop o dile

Versa mark

Clear embossing powder

Ribbon

Punches (scallop & circles)

Not shown- Stamps and dimensionals

Step 1-
Measure DP to fit around both the base and lid of tins.
Adhere paper to tin. (I just used regular tape adhesive and it worked great!)
Step 2-
Measure the opening of the bottom of the tin onto DP.
Cut it out and tape into the inside bottom
Step 3- Using Crop o dile, punch a hole in side of tin.
(In this picture I punched the hole in the top of the tin but
found out that it works better to do it in the side of the bottom.)
Step 4-
*Cut ribbon to desired length and tie a knot on the end
(I like to use a lighter to "singe" the ends of the ribbon to
help the knot stay in place.)
*Fish ribbon through hole so that knot is on the inside of tin
Step 5-
Punch out shapes to use for the top of the tin

Step 6-
Stamp peppermint sticks on very vanilla circle
and again on scrap very vanilla.

Step 7-
Layer and adhere the punch shapes onto
each other.
Step 8-
*Cover your peppermint stick image (the one on scrap paper)
with versamark and cover with clear embossing powder.
*Cut out peppermint sticks
Step 9-
Using dimensionals, add the cut out peppermint sticks
onto the scalloped layers.
Adhere the scalloped layers onto the front of tin and
fill with what ever you like. I chose Peppermint
candies :)
I found this cute tea bag holder tutorial (by Paula Goff)
to use to hold my tea bag holders ;)
I made the little tea bag holders using the template
from the new stamp set and decorated it
And here is what it looks like with the tea bags inside.
Final project with everything together.
I made the gift "basket" using this tutorial from SCS

Well, I hope you all enjoyed today's post! Have a wonderful weekend and a very HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!
