Another ATC TSG swap!!

Sorry for not posting yesterday. You guys kept me busy packing orders and then it took me quite a while to finish my card. By then the girls wanted to go outside, my gramma came for a visit and, you know, life got in the way ;)

ATC Swap: I am so excited to announce that my friend Kelli (KelliJo on SCS) is hosting another fun ATC swap. Her last one was a huge hit and I believe that we had about 40 swaps filled! This one is guaranteed to be just as much fun :) This ATC swap is a 8 (+1 for the hostess for a total of 9) using the stamps from either the June or July releases. Spots will fill quickly so sign up while you can! Email me if you have any questions.

Today was one of those days for me. I saw the technique challenge on SCS today (Faux Burnt Edges) and knew that it would look gorgeous with the new Bloom set. So I got to work.
When I started this card, I intended on watercoloring the images but after trial and error I gave up on that idea lol! So I went to my handy blender pen and went that route instead. I stamped the images for the main panel on a separate piece of Very Vanilla cardstock, colored and cut out. For the main panel itself, I started by sponging on Sahara Sand, then Creamy Caramel, Close to Cocoa and Chocolate Chip on Very Vanilla cardstock. I stamped the sentiment in black and added the flowers by taping down only parts of it so I could make other parts come off of the paper. I then added the border punched layer with just a bit of adhesive and then used the sewing machine to stitch it together.

The card base is River Rock (thanks to Kelli, I don't have to worry about running out of this fabulous color any time soon!). I sponged it with River Rock, Sahara Sand and Creamy Caramel. The lighter panel was made by first stamping the flowers on scrap paper then on the Very Vanilla cardstock (to give it a lighter image). I colored the image the same way. I then sponged the same colors as the main panel but lighter. I assembled the back layers, added ribbon, stitching, main panel (with dimensionals) and button.
