Today's Dollar Find Friday is going to be a two part tutorial. I found this beautiful plain vase at my local dollar store and just had to pick it up. But after I decorated it, I needed to come up with something to put in it so I also included a tutorial for an origami flower that I learned how to make a few weeks ago on iScrap.
PART 1
Supplies-
Vase
Rub ons
Step 1- Add rub ons to vase
PART 2
Supplies-
* 7 punched out circles. (I used Stampin' Up's 2 inch scallop punch here.
* Scrap of card stock that is about 3x3
Step 1- Fold circle in half
Step 2- With the straight edge on top, fold up the bottom right corner
Step 3- Fold up the other corner
Step 4- Glue/tape your petals on the scrap piece of card stock in a circle
This is what it will look like when all of the sections are in place.
Step 5- Cut away the excess card stock
Step 6 (Optional)- Add a flower center
You can then add your flower to your project or add a "stem". I chose to use plain wood skewers for mine.
