Blake & Troy

Yesterday was a very exciting day for me! My BFF Dani delivered her beautiful twin boys at 35 wks. via C-section. Thankfully both of the boys were born strong and healthy at just under 5 lbs. I never thought it was possible to love another child as much as my own but the moment I laid eyes on these boys- it was love at first sight! I am so proud of Dani and her husband Zach and I can't wait to be part of these boys' lives and watch them grow :)

I know I'm a little biased but aren't they absolutely beautiful??

Side By Side

Little bit of a late post because Kylie and I are at Seattle Children's Hospital for what is hopefully her second to last infusion as part of her two year treatment plan. Wahoo!! She is healthier and stronger everyday and we're keeping our fingers crossed that this trend will continue :)

This card was made awhile ago using the stamp set Side By Side. I love these colors together and I think the simplicity is nice to keep focus on the sentiment.

1-3-11
Stamps: Side By Side
Ink: Momento Tuxedo Black, Pear Pizazz
Paper: Black, White, Pear Pizazz
Accessories: Scallop corner punch

TSG88: Odd Couples

It's the first week of the new year and I'm starting it off with this fun challenge hosted by Jessie! She has challenged us to combine different stamp sets that weren't necessarily made to go together. I love the idea of this challenge and it gave me the chance to create a project that I have had floating around in my head for months! In fact, the lady used on this project is one that I colored during the stamping retreat I went to in Victoria, BC back in October lol!
Make sure you stop by the TSG blog this week for all of the details about this challenge and to find out how you can win a TSG gift certificate simply by playing along!

The project I made isn't really a card, it's more like a picture :) Read below to see what stamp sets I combined.

1-2-11 1-2-11 (2)
Stamps: Domestic Goddess, Home Sweet Home, HSH Halloween Additions
Ink: Momento Tuxedo Black
Paper: Stonehenge cardstock (for colored pencils)
Accessories: Prismacolor pencils, OMS, Dimensionals

Recipe:
* I started off by printing off Vlad's Lair TSG Tip Sheet (designed by Holly) and using the larger of the two images. Colored, blended with OMS and cut out.

* All images were stamped onto Stonehenge paper with Momento Tuxedo Black ink (sometimes more than once), colored with Prismacolor pencils, blended with OMS, cut out and adhered to 'the lair' with dimensionals.

Kylie's Kards

I know it's a little bit late but it has been a busy day and I am just now getting to post Kylie's card for the week. She loves this cute new image from Torico (included in the set Buckets Of Love which will be released Saturday evening) and the card she made is pretty darn sweet too ;)

Two of the papers she used are Poison Ivory (card base) and Nero Incandescent (dark wavy strip at the bottom). Both of these gorgeous paper are from Paper Temptress.
