Week In Review (Aug. 3-9) & Card Give Away

Grab a cup of coffee my friends because you are going to be here for quite a while! Like always, the Trendsetters have been busy inking their poor fingers to the bone ;) So while they are resting their weary fingers, let's enjoy the 20 cards that we have posted for you today...

What is Week In Review (WIR)?- WIR is where I showcase cards made by the Trendsetters and myself throughout the week. Not only to you get to see gorgeous projects made using TSG stamps, but you also have a chance to WIN one of these cards! Leave a comment on this post and tomorrow (Monday) I will choose a winner using a random number generator. That person will then get to pick out their favorite card and the Trendsetter that created it will send it to them :)

Happy Saturday!

Whew, we made it through another week to enjoy a fun weekend with family and friends! I know not all of you get a break during the weekend (my own DH is working today) so the rest of us will try our hardest to have lots of fun for you ;)

I made this card for today's Inspiration Challenge on SCS which was to pick a beautiful vase from the website Bellacor, to draw inspiration to make a card. I chose this gorgeous vase and like usual, got a little carried away once I started creating.

I used a combo of two stamp sets- Nature of friendship and Tea for two Special Blend. One of the great things about TSG stamps is that so many of the sets work so well together! I haven't used these two sets in a little while and it felt good to ink them up again :)

I cut the main panel out with a Nestability die and sponged it with Sage Shadow and Mellow Moss inks. I stamped the sentiment in Chocolate Chip then stamped the tea leaves with Always Artichoke and colored in with the same ink and a blender pen. I finished off the image by stamping mini flowers in Melon Mambo (is that the name??) and glued rhinestones. The panel was then added to a Mellow Moss layer that was embossed with an embossing folder. Behind the Mellow moss layer I added a scalloped very vanilla border and of course more rhinestones!

And a card is not complete until it has a beautiful matching inside :)
Interested in winning a free stamp set??? Make sure you check out this post!

500 posts already??

No TSG Challenge this week, I will be leaving this post up for those of you who have not had the chance to enter for the blog candy. You can still participate in this give away even if you do not have a blog! Simply add the URL from your online craft gallery instead or you can send me an email and I will happily add your name to the list. I want this to be fair for everyone and to make sure that everyone has the chance to win :)
Friday Night Chat will be held tonight from 6-8 PM here on the TSG Forum. You have to be a registered user to be able to view/post on the forum so make sure you do that first! It only takes a minute and then you are ready to explore the forum.
----------------------------
***That calls for Blog Candy! I want to thank each and every one of you that take time out of your day to visit my blog and leave wonderful comments :) You guys keep me wanting to create something new every day and to challenge myself to try different things. Add your name to the Mr. Linky and the bottom of this post and I will randomly choose a winner on Monday. What is the candy you ask? How about your very own set of She's A Lady along with this card! ***

I love the stamp set She's A Lady but haven't used it in quite awhile. After I started piecing my card colors/layers together, I knew that this set would go perfect!

This card was made for the challenge on SCS today which was to use pleats on your project. I used kraft card stock folded up then stitched with a sewing machine for my pleats which worked perfectly as a sidewalk for my image.
The images were stamped on Very Vanilla cardstock and colored with Prismacolor pencils and blended with OMS. I cut them out and added them to the front panel with dimensionals. Instead of stamping the leash that comes with this set, I linked the lady and dog images with a piece quilting thread. You can see a better view here in the close up-
And the card is never complete without a matching card front-
Thanks for looking!

Stampbook Wednesday!

Stupid internet issues! I lost my connection just as I hit Publish Post last night and I thought that it posted. Apparently not! Sorry for the late post, here it is-

Happy hump day! Our weather has finally cooled down and I am so thankful that we get a break from the 90-100 degree weather that he have been enjoying (and I use that term very lightly) for the last few weeks.

Are you guys ready for another Stampbook page?

What is a Stampbook Page? A Stampbook Page is a scrapbook page created using stamps and inspired by a card. Each week I create a new Stampbook Page to give you ideas on how to use your stamps in a new way and hopefully inspire you to catch up on those family photos that you've been meaning to scrapbook ;)

Today's Stampbook Page was inspired by this card that I made last week-

I love these pictures taken while we were on vacation! I just wish I had a better a printer for pictures :( I added some doodling, stitching and butterflies from the new set Spread Your Wings but everything else is pretty much the same. The non-butterfly images are from the set Bloom.

Here is a close up-

I hope that you enjoyed today's project!

Color combo bliss

Have you guys seen the color combo on SCS today? Looooove it! Close to cocoa, Blush Blossom, Certainly Celery, Cameo Coral and Whisper white. It's fun to have more colors to use than the typical 3 colors we usually work with.

Here is my card-
I used a combo of two stamp sets- Bloom and Spread Your Wings. I love how well they work together! All images are colored with Prismacolor Pencils and blended with OMS. The blush blossom layers were embossed with a cuttlebug embossing folder added to a white layer and then sewed before adding to the close to cocoa layers. The top panel is raised up on dimensionals as well as different parts of the images.

Inside-

Here is a close up of the dimension on the front of the card-

Hope you have a wonderful afternoon and see you back here tomorrow for Stampbook Wednesday!
