The challenge on splitcoast today was to make an adorable gift card holder. Very simple and a lot of fun to make. You can check out the challenge HERE. Here is mine- ( I thought that this would be great for a Starbucks gift card!)

Supplies: Stamps- Like it a latte. Paper- Blush blossom, close to cocoa, very vanilla. Ink- Close to cocoa, blush blossom, basic black, Sahara sand. Accessories- stardust gelly roll pen, dimensionals, paper crimper, scallop scissors, paper piercer, clear embossing powder.

Week in Review (April 14-20) & Card Give away!

I am happy to say that this week is a whole lot more productive than the last couple of weeks. Wahoo! I made a total of 18 cards this week! The bottom 12 cards I made for some of my SCS stalkin friends.

Dollar Find Friday (Photo magnets)

Today's Dollar Find Friday project is super easy! I am just giving a basic tutorial on how to use this product but the possibilities are endless! I love photo magnets, they are perfect gifts for family.

Photo Magnets

Supplies:

Magnetic sheet (with adhesive on one side) I found this at my local Dollar Tree

Pictures- I just printed off some pictures onto 4x6 photo paper.













Step 1- Cut out pictures.
















Step 2- Cut out enough of the magnetic sheet that will fit all of the pictures.







Step 3- Peel off the sticker backing








Step 4- place your photos on the sticky side. You can use a bone folder to make sure that you got all of the air bubbles out.








Step 5- Trim the excess magnet away from the pictures.

All done!






Another thing you could do is add stamped images to the magnet like I did here. These were so quick and fun to make, I hope that you'll give it a try!

I love garden whimsy!

I have been wanting to use my Garden Whimsy set for a couple of weeks now so last night I sat down to play with it. This was the very first set out of the new catty that I just HAD to have. Sad thing is, I don't think that I've used it that much lol! I used the cloud technique for the back ground. The flowers are stamped onto the background ( I had to use painters tape to mask the stamp to get the separate colors because I only have a few SU markers). I then cut out just the blossom of the flowers and put them on the card using dimensionals. For the butterfly I masked it, and stamped the butterfly onto the background. I then added the wing to make it look like it was actually flying.

Supplies: Stamps- Garden whimsy, happy harmony. Paper- White. Ink- Real red, certainly celery, Soft sky, almost amethyst, chocolate chip. Supplies- dimensionals, stardust gelly roll pen, cloud template, makeup sponge, painters tape, SU markers (Garden green and Chocolate chip)

Today's challenge over at splitcoast was to use something acrylic on our card/project. Imagine my delight when I found out rhinestones were acrylic!! Wahoo! I used the PTI set Limitless labels again. I've been having a stressful morning and my creativity has been completely zapped. I'm not too happy with this card.....

Supplies: Stamps- PTI Limitless labels. Paper- Perfect plum, pale plum, white. Ink- Perfect plum, pale plum. Accessories- rhinestones, scallop scissors, stickles.

Two cards today!

Today's sketch is a great one, lots of possibilities!

Here is my card. Are you guys totally sick of these two sets yet? lol! I water colored the flowers using ink and added some stardust gelly roll pen to them for some added sparkle.

Supplies: Stamps- Embrace Life, Natural beauty. Paper- Certainly celery, Old olive, Groovy guava, Blush blossom, white. Ink- Black stazon, Groovy guava, Blush blossom, Old olive. Accessories- Paper crimper, dimensionals, stardust gelly roll pen, paper piercer, scallop scissors, corner rounder.

Last night I made another card for yesterday's color challenge. My original goal was to use an older stamp set (Be Happy) and find a new use for it, but I ended up pulling out my Fabulous Flowers. Funny how that works huh?

Supplies: Stamps- Fabulous flowers. Paper- Basic grey, blush blossom, groovy guava. Ink- Versamark, blush blossom, groovy guava. Accessories- clear embossing powder, rhinestones, dimensionals, scallop scissors.

TIP- If you want to embossing something and don't have the right craft ink, stamp your stamp in versamark and then onto your regular stamp pad. Then complete the embossing process. Works beautifully!

Color challenge & Blog candy!

I was so relieved to see the colors for today's challenge. Basic Grey, Groovy Guava and Blush Blossom. Definitely colors that I could work with! I love all of the PTI sets but only own Limitless Labels. I tried to come up with a new way to use them instead of just for nugget wrappers and here is what I came up with-







Supplies: Stamps- PTI Limitless Labels, canvas. Paper- Basic Grey, Blush blossom, white. Ink- Basic grey, groovy guava. Accessories- ribbon, rhinestones, corner rounder, slit punch

Double pocket card

This whole crafting with kids thing is not an easy task! It literally took me 5 1/2 hours to get this challenge completed! But it's done now *whew*. It was a lot of fun to make these double pocket cards. Thanks Judy for the great tutorial!
