With the next release just around the corner, it's time for another TSG Release Challenge! Not only will you get to challenge yourself by trying something different but the winner will recieve the new stamp set that is going to be released! :)
This month the challenge is Wings & Things. We challenge you to make a card/project using an image that has wings. This can include bugs, birds, angels, fairies and anything else that has wings! When you have completed your TSG Wings & Things Card, come back to my blog and add your name to the Mr. Linky at the bottom of the TSG August Release Challenge blog post. If uploading your card to SCS, please use the keyword TSG13. Challenge is open from Friday through Sunday. Winner will be chosen on Monday (the 27th) and announced on my blog.
Here is the link to the TSG13 challenge post on the There She Goes forum. We would love for you to add your card/projects there for all of us to see!
Don't have a blog? Don't worry you can still play along! Just add the URL of your card from your online craft gallery.
For my card I used another frosted card base from ShorCuts. They are fast becoming one of my new favorite goodies!
I sponged the clouds, stamped the sentiment and cut it out using a rectangle nestie then matted it with a scallop rectangle. I then added a few pieces of red line sticky tape to the front of the panel where they could easily be hidden by butterflies and taped the panel to the top of the inside of the card. The butterflies were stamped on a seperate piece of paper, colored with Prismacolor pencils, cut out and bent a little to give more animation. I then taped down just the bodies so that the wings would be free to stand up from the card base. I added a little sparkle with my Stardust Gelly Roll pen to the butterflies :)
For the inside of my card, I stamped the second part of my sentiment on a smaller rectangle nestie layer and taped it down to the inside of my card.
