Butterfly happiness

Today's color challenge on Splitcoast was to use Riding hood red, going grey and always artichoke. I substituted the red and grey for Basic Grey and Ruby Red. I love elegant cards that are quick and simple to make! I made this one using the set Butterfly Happiness which you can find at the There She Goes store.

I made this card by first sponging the clouds using a makeup sponge and an acetate cloud template. I then stamped the leaves with always artichoke and added the little "berries" with a Ruby Red SU marker. I stamped the butterflies onto vellum and water colored them with ruby red ink. After the ink was dry, I cut out the butterflies and adhered them to my card using red sticky tape. But the card wasn't quite finished... it needed bling! I added some stickles to the butterfly wings for some extra sparkle.

Supplies: Stamps- Butterfly Happiness (There She Goes) Paper- Going grey, white. Ink- always artichoke, ruby red, black stazon, soft sky. Accessories- cloud template, makeup sponge, SU marker, watercolor brush, scallop corner punch, vellum, stickles, red sticky tape.
