Zoo-pendous Sneak Peek

Today is our last day of sneak peeks for this release and I hope that you have enjoyed what you've seen so far! Today we are showing off an adorably whimsical set illustrated by Melyssa Connolly that will make you go wild!!
Did you make your way here from the lovely Iwona's blog? If so great! If not, you may want to head on over to the TSG Blog for all of the details about this Blog Hop Challenge as well as to find out how you can win the set being featured today!!

Zoo-pendous is a 6x8 set that will sell for $24.

I put together a project featuring today's Zoo-pendous sneak peek and let me tell you, it took foooooorever lol! I combined this new set along with a few older stamp sets: Blossom by Blossom, Puppy Love and Penguin Love. The size of the girls coordinated perfectly with the animals in this new set to look like they were enjoying a fun day at the zoo :)

All images were stamped multiple times onto white cardstock using Momento ink, colored with Prismacolor Pencils, blended with OMS, cut out and layered together using dimensionals so they looked 3D. Time consuming but worth it :)

I hope you enjoyed this month's sneak peeks! Now it's time for you to hop on over to Jessie's blog.

Get Your Thong On Sneak Peeks!

Yippee, it's day one of the TSG August release Blog Hop Challenges!! Today we are showing off a sassy little mini set illustrated by Melyssa Connolly. That girl cracks me up with the sentiments she comes up with and she definitely fits it perfectly here at TSG :)
Did you make your way here from the lovely Iwona's blog? If so great! If not, you may want to head on over to the TSG Blog for all of the details about this Blog Hop Challenge as well as to find out how you can win the set being featured today!!

For my sample card, I wanted to show how this new mini set can be paired with other TSG stamp sets like this older one illustrated by Chris Dark called By The Sea.
Bring Your Own Thong

Not the best picture but I wanted to show how I added 'speckles' to the flip flops with a Copic Multiliner so that they would be the same art style as the By The Sea stamp set. You would never know that these two stamp sets weren't meant to be together!
Thanks for stopping by! Now hop on over to my fabulous
friend Jessie's blog to see what goodness she has to share with you :)

Getting sketchy with TSG

Hooray, it's release week for There She Goes! All week long the Trendsetters will have sneak peeks of the soon to be released stamp sets and you will have the chance to win new goodies as well :) Are you signed up for the TSG Newsletter yet? If not, head on over to the TSG website and enter your email address in the box located on the lower right hand side so that you will be sure to receive the newsletter when it goes  out later today!

This week's festivities starts out with this fun sketch. It's a nice and simple layout that is perfect for so many different options :)

I decided to make another frame project using the provided sketch but ended up tweaking it just a bit in the creating process. My image panel is a bit wider and the ribbon goes behind it instead of in front but otherwise I pretty much stuck to it ;) I used an older mini set that happens to be one of my favorites called Angel Mail. It was released last year around the time that our oldest daughter Kylie was diagnosed with JDM and the sentiments really mean a lot to me. (You can read Kylie's story here)

Angel wings were stamped multiple times onto white cardstock using Momento Tuxedo Black ink, colored with Prismacolor pencils, cut out, layered using dimensionals and adhere to the card base. I used my new favorite seam binding that you can find right here at Ribbon Carousel.

And here is the project once I put it into a frame-

Blooms for Holly

Hello everyone and happy Saturday! I hope that your weekend is off to a great start and you have lots of fun things to look forward to :) I wanted to share this project that I made for Holly to show my appreciation for her being such a great support to me and TSG. I love how it turned out and turns out, she loves it just as much :)

The flowers used are from the set Bloom. All images were stamped onto white cardstock, colored, cut out and layered together with dimensionals to give a 3D look. After I was finished with the complete scene I framed it for a finishing touch.

TSG116- Color Challenge

I hope that you all had a fabulous weekend and are now ready to get inky! This week our TSG Challenge is brought to us by our Trendsetter of the week, Christine. She has challenged us to create a card/projects featuring the colors soft yellow, chocolate brown and baby blue. These colors are gorgeous together so this card came together pretty easily for me :)

Make sure you stop by the TSG Blog for all of the details about this challenge as well as to find out how you can win a TSG gift certificate!

I used the new stamp set The Fairy Best and stamped the fairy in Momento Tuxedo Black onto white cardstock before coloring with Prismacolor pencils, blended with OMS, cut out and adhered to the card base with dimensionals.

Domestic Goddess

Yay, the weekend is heeeeeeere! That means no more appointments for at least two days lol! I just finished another project yesterday that I just couldn't wait to share with you guys. I gotta admit, there has been more than one occasion when I've thought exactly what this domestic goddess is saying :D I have another scene planned out using the dad from Dadisms.

I used a total of 8 TSG stamp sets (see list below) on this 5x7 sized scene! All of the images were stamped onto Georgia Pacific cardstock (I prefer a thin cardstock with enough of a tooth for good blending when layering images), colored with Prismacolor pencils, blended with OMS, cut out and layered together using dimensionals before adhered to the main scene with dimensionals.

A couple of fun things I wanted to point out-
*Do you recognise the picture on the wall? The frame is from Home Sweet Home and the scene is actually from one of the windows included in the Once Upon A Time set!
*Take a close look at the laundry basket. In the process of layering all of the separate pieces together, I had the ridiculous idea of cutting out all of the holes in the basket with a craft blade. Gotta say, I think that it was worth the effort :)
*Instead of trying to cut out the telephone cord I decided to cut it off completely and used a textured nylon thread instead.

Forgotten Stamp Friday / Good Times

Happy Friday everyone! Join us right here at the TSG Forum for our weekly Friday Night Chat!!
Everyone is welcome and we love to meet new people :)

Wahoo, it's Friday! I have been wanting to play along in the challenge that my girl Jessie does on her blog called Forgotten Stamp Friday so I finally had the chance to make one this last Sunday. The only rule of this challenge is that you have to use a stamp that is at least 6 months old. Wellll..... this image is 5 months old, does that count Jess? lol! I absolutely love this adorable clock from the Good Times set but haven't had the chance to actually ink it up since it's been released *blush*.  I had lots of fun experimenting with the bright colors used on the house and while I was a tad nervous while doing the actual coloring, I have to say that it actually looks pretty good when finished :)

Image was stamped with Momento Tuxedo Black ink onto white card stock multiple times, colored with Prismacolor pencils, blended with OMS, cut out, layered using dimensionals and then adhered to the card base using dimensionals once again. The yummy ribbon is an olive solid plaid that you can find at the Ribbon Carousel for only $0.75! Can you believe that price?!

Teacher Gift Project

Hi everyone! I have been wanting to share this project that I made for Chloe's teacher for an 'end of the year' thank you but things have been so crazy that I just haven't had the chance to. As I'm sure you've probably noticed, but I kinda have a thing for combining stamp sets to make a scene ;) I love the versatility of TSG stamp sets because I can combine almost any style of stamp set by a variety of artists and create a scene that looks like all of the images belong together!

Every single one of the images below was stamped onto white cardstock multiple times, colored with Prismacolor Pencils, cut out and layered together using dimensionals before being adhered to the 'room' using dimensionals once again.

Here is a list of stamp sets that were used for this project:

And here is the final product after I framed it. Even though it was put into a frame it still kept its 3D appearance which made me happy :)

RCC11: Inspiration with Laurel

No you aren't dreaming and yes you are at the right blog- I really am posting two days in a row lol! I am back again to share a card that I made for this week's Ribbon Carousel challenge which is to create a card based on this inspiration piece.
And here is my card-
RCC11-Jessica
I love the pink and grey together and I decided that I would try to incorporate the tag shape as well. I used my new favorite ribbon which is the Vintage Seam binding in Ascot Grey. One of the coolest things about this is that you can crinkle it up in your hand and it keeps the wrinkles! It's love I tell you :)

Make sure you stop by the Ribbon Carousel blog for all the info about this challenge so you can play along too!!

Paper: DP scraps, Grey, White

I'm back!

Hello friends, sorry for the recent absence on my blog! Kylie's health has been acting up a bit lately so we've been having a bunch of different doctors appointments. I will have to do an update on our little trooper soon, it's been awhile! But for today, let's talk stamping :)

This week we have a fun challenge brought to us by our Trendsetter of the week Karen. She is challenging us to use fabric on our cards/projects. Make sure you stop by the TSG Blog for all of the details about this challenge as well as to find out how you can win a stamp set simply by playing along!

I wanted to think outside the box for this challenge so I rifled through a box of miscellaneous embellishments and came across something that definitely fit the bill! I'm not sure where they came from but on the very bottom of the box I found two butterfly iron on transfers that are made from fabric :) I knew right away that I wanted to use the new The Fairy Best stamp set and I have some gorgeous purple ribbon that I got from The Ribbon Carousel

And here is my card-

Lighten Up / Friday Night Chat

Join us right HERE in the TSG Forum for our Friday Night Chat!
Everyone is welcome and we love to meet new people :)

Hi everybody, happy Friday! I took a bit of time the other night to get inky and was able to make 5-6 cards but unfortunately my mojo decided not to join me so I have a feeling most of those cards will never see the light of day on this blog lol!

But I did want to share this card that I made quite a while ago using the Lighten Up set. I added a bit of Diamond Glaze to one of the lamps so that it would stand out from the others and I love how the card turned out!
