******************************************

Hi stampy friends! I have to admit, it has been at least two months since I’ve created a card but yesterday I was able to finally make one! And even started on a second :) Hopefully my mojo will stick around for a bit because I really do miss stamping!
I think that the reason behind my missing mojo may be all of the stress I’ve been under lately. You see, our family recently made the big decision to move from Washington state (where we have lived pretty much our entire lives) to McKinney, TX! Matt has been going there for work (and staying a few weeks at a time) so it’s been just me and the girls. Thankfully everything has been going really smoothly but being a single parent for the first time in 10 years gives me absolutely no time to do anything else lol! Major kudos to all the single parents out there, you guys are amazing!! Oh, and did I mention that we are moving in 10 weeks? :/

Anyways, now on to my card. This week we have a fun sketch challenge brought to us from Tobi and I thought that it would work great with this image from one of our new illustrators Wendy Leach. Last month you all fell in love with Wendy’s debut TSG stamp set Phyllis and this month we are introducing you to Larry! Seriously, how cute is he?! Love him!

Image was colored using a combination of alcohol markers and colored pencils.

Make sure you stop by the TSG Blog for all of the details and to find out how you can win a TSG gift certificate just by playing along!

The inspiration for my card is this adorable card made by Trendsetter Kim OConnell-

The Doxie With Moxie / Size Matters Blog Hop Challenge

It’s no secret, we are DEFINITELY in love with everything Torico does here are There She Goes, and we know you are, too. This month she has honored us by creating a set that we have been begging for…meet The Doxie with Moxie!! SUPER cute dachshunds, along with several sentiments, outfits, and even a city scene for our more “elegant” pups, this set is just TOO much fun.

The Doxie with Moxie is a 4x8 set that includes a total of 32 stamps and will sell for $18.00.

When brainstorming The Doxie with Moxie set, there was a lot of chatter about sentiments…and some of them took a turn for the funny, but…risqué, lol! We couldn’t live without them, so we decided to create the Size Matters set. It’s not for everyone, but it’s definitely funny!!

Size Matters is a 3x4 set that includes 7 stamps for $9.00.

Would you like to win the new The Doxie with Moxie and Size Matters stamp sets? Here is what you need to do-visit the Trendsetter’s blogs that are participating in each of the blog hop challenges below and comment on their creations as you go. One of the Trendsetter’s blogs (from each hop day) will be randomly chosen as the ‘it’ blog and a winner will be picked using a random number generator from the comments left on that Trendsetter’s Blog Hop Challenge post.

*********************************************************
It's been awhile since I've made card that I really liked and even though this card took me a few hours to finally complete, I gotta say- I love it! The cute little Doxies in this set are so much fun to dress up and the background images that Torico added in this set are the perfect scene for this distinguished little guy :-)

I stamped the city scene directly onto the designer paper and then stamped it again onto white cardstock, colored the windows, cut out and adhered to the card base using dimensionals. The Doxie was stamped onto white cardstock and colored. I then stamped the clothes onto white cardstock, colored, cut out and adhered to the dog before cutting the dog out and adhering it to the card using dimensionals. I stamped the lampost onto white cardstock, colored the light, cut out and adhered as the top image onto the card.

I am so in love with the stamp/die combo set that we are sneak peeking today!!! The snow globe was designed to coordinate with the Holiday Cheer stamp set that we showed off yesterday but it is also the perfect size to fit with SO many other TSG stamp sets! Just to show you one of these options, I created another set of four cards (are you starting to sense a theme on my blog this week? lol!) using the new Snow Globe, snow and sentiment stamps along with the holiday set we released last year called No Peeking. These cards were relatively quick and easy to make, the only time consuming part was the coloring and applying of some liquid applique to the snow ( as well as some sparkle with my Stardust gelly roll pen!)

I have been having so much fun playing with this new stamp set/ die combo and I can’t wait for you guys to be get your hands on it too!!

TSG181- Let It Snow (Stick Together)

I have been playing along in all of the TSG challenges lately but you wouldn't know it by looking at my blog lol!  Make sure you stop by the TSG Blog for all of the details about this challenge as well as to find out how you can win a gift certificate to the TSG website just by playing along :)

This weekend I got to have two of my favorite stampy friends Jessie Rone and Tobi Crawford at my house again and I actually got quite a bit of cards made this time! Usually I'm lucky if I even finish one when my friends are here! Jessie made me promise that I would actually blog my cards so....... here I am ;)

Of all the cards that I made over the long weekend, this one is my favorite! It's hard to tell from this picture but there is lots of sparkle on this card from the Sparklettes, rhinestones and stardust gelly roll pen that I used on it. The only stamping on this card is the sentiment (from the Stick Together mini set) so it would be super simple to mass produce for the holidays! The gorgeous crushed silk ribbon and sparklettes are from RibbonCarousel.com.

I hope that you all have enjoyed the sneak peeks of our new stamp sets that we’ve been showing off this week! You still have time to win these sets by particiapting in the Blog Hop Challenges so head on over to the TSG Blog for all the info!!TSG176 Inspiration Challenge

This past Sunday was our middle daughter Chloe’s 8th birthday. As soon as I saw the colors in this inspiration picture, I knew that they would be perfect to use for her birthday card! Chloe is such a joy to our family. She is so thoughtful and always putting others before herself! Just recently she cut off 10 inches of her much loved long hair so that she could donate it to Locks Of Love. She is also hilarious and constantly making us laugh with the things she comes up with!!

I used the mini set Flying By because it reminds me of Chloe’s new shorter haircut. The images were stamped in Memento black ink, colored with Prismacolor pencils, cut out and layered with dimensionals to create a 3D look. I also added some sponging and stitching to add some texture to the card.

This challenge is open until the winner has been announced on the following Monday (October 8th). The winner will get a $5 gift certificate to use in the TSG Web store!

Head on over to the TSG Blog to enter this week’s give away!

************************************************************

I’ve strayed away from my usual coloring method of Prismacolor Pencils lately and instead using my Prismacolor and Twin Touch markers. I love the look of the color pencils but sometimes it seems like too much work with all of the blending that I do so I like to switch it up every now and then.

For this card I used the mini set Friendbots because this adorable image is so much fun to color! I went with a simple layout (with no DP of course) but added a bit of texture to the card with stitching, dimensionals, glassy accents, rhinestones and sparkle from a stardust gelly roll pen.

Cardstock- White, Rockcandy from Bazzill

TSG174 Sketch Challenge (Freeze The Moment)

Hi everyone, happy Tuesday! Can you believe it? Two posts in a row lol! Today I have a card to share that I made using this week’s TSG sketch challenge. This is such a fun sketch and I love how the card turned out!

TSG174

I used the stamp set Freeze The Moment. Images were stamped in Memento black ink and colored with Twin Touch markers. The ribbon is crushed silk (gorgeous in real life!) and I got it (along with the twine and wooden button) from RibbonCarousel.com. The DP is My Favorite Things by My Mind’s Eye. Adhesive rhinestones came from my miscellaneous embellishment stash.

tsg174

Thanks for stopping by, hope you have a great afternoon!
