Seasons Greetings sneak peeks!

Happy Thanksgiving to all of my US friends and welcome to our final day of TSG sneak peeks! Did you make your way here from Iwona's blog? If so, great! If not, you may want to head back to the TSG Blog for all of the details about this hop and how you can win the set being previewed today!!

Today the Trendsetters are showing off this beautifully illustrated set by Chris Dark called Season's Greetings. It has a lovely variety of images that are perfect for all of your holiday projects!
Seasons Greetings is a 4x8 stamp set that includes a total of 13 stamps and will sell for $18.

For my samples today, I chose to use four of the larger images to create a set of holiday cards. They are clean, simple and easy to make which is a huge plus during the hustle and bustle at this time of year! All of the images were stamped onto white cardstock using Momento Tuxedo ink, colored with Prismacolo pencils, blended with OMS, cut out and adhered to the Kraft card base using dimensionals. One thing that I love about using the colored pencils is the artistic feel they give to these cards.

Penguin Pals sneak peek!

Welcome to day two of our sneak peeks! If you made your way here from Iwona's blog, you are on the right track! If not, you may want to head on over to the TSG Blog to see what all the hoopla is about ;)

We are so excited to finally be able to share with you that TSG has welcomed another new illustrator to our family!! Many of you may already be familiar with Di's whimsical illustrations from her popular blog- Di's Digi Downloads.
The first stamp set that she has illustrated for TSG is called Penguin Pals and it is so darn cute! One of the penguins in this set was designed so that it can hold a variety of other images included in the set like a present, christmas tree and candycane!
For my card, I stamped all of the images onto white cardstock, colored with Prismacolor pencils, blended with OMS, cut out and adhered to Poppy colored cardstock using dimensionals. You can't really see the detail but the penguin and ornaments have Diamond Glaze on them and the birds have glitter on the white part of their hats.
Thanks for stopping by! The next stop on our blog hop is Jessie :)

Kylie's Kards & FNC

Happy Friday everyone! I hope that you enjoyed your day off yesterday and are ready to chat tonight right HERE at the weekly TSG Friday Night Chat :) Everyone is welcome and we love to meet new people so pop on in and say hello! The chat doesn't officially begin until 7 PM (Pacific Time) but feel free to stop in at any time during the day to check in.

Kylie was hard at work yesterday creating her card for this week's edition of Kylie's Kards. I distracted her sisters for a little while so that she could have some uninteruppted working time in my craftroom/office ;) She asked so very nicely if she could use my new Gobble! mini set and how could I turn her down??

I helped her a little bit with the ribbon tabs but she did everything else all by herself (including getting her card ready to photograph ;)

Kylie's Before & During Pictures

No card to share with you today because Kylie and I had a looong day at Seattle Children's Hospital yesterday for her monthly infusion. She is doing so great with handling everything that she has been dealt and we are so proud of her! She takes her medicines twice a day on her own without us having to tell her, she has been handling her weekly home injections great and she is a pro at her monthly infusions <3

One of the medicines that she is on is called Prednisone which is a steroid. She is on high doses of this particular medicine which results in many undesirable side effects like excess body hair growth, sleep disruption, extreme (uncontrollable!) hunger, fat redistribution that effects the face, top of the back & stomach. Just to name a few. There are many, many more! Even with all of this going on, Kylie still approaches every day with a smile and a positive attitude. We sure do love this girl <3

Below I have posted a before/during picture of Kylie. The top picture was taken at the end of August about a week before she was diagnosed with Juvenile Dermatomyositis (at this point, we had thought that she had Limb-Girdle Muscular Dystrophy). The second picture was taken at the beginning of November just two short months later. The physical changes in her face are dramatic but she is still beautiful to me and this is just proof that she is getting better a little more everyday <3

She will be back to 'normal' after we cut her Prednisone dose down but for now I'm just enjoying my healthy daughter and kissing those squishy cheeks of hers <3

Chemistry

I can't believe how many consecutive blog posts I have had lately, I'm on a roll lol! Here is another card that I made sticking to my 'easy' theme I've got going on ;)

I stamped the images from the Chemistry set onto the Kraft card base with Sahara Sand ink. I stamped the trio of bottles onto white cardstock, colored with Prismacolor Pencils, blended with OMS, adhered to the card base using dimensionals before adding diamond glaze.

TSG80- Create A Scene

This week our featured Trendsetter Angela has challenged us to use our stamps to create a scene! I used the adorable Bee Happy mini set to create this super easy (I think 'easy' is my new style lol!) cute card.

Make sure you stop by the TSG Blog to  find out the details about this challenge and to find out how you can win a TSG Gift Card just by playing along!

First I cut a rectangular out of a piece of scrap cardstock lightly adhered it to my card front and sponged in the clouds using a plastic cloud template. I then removed the scrap card stock and stamped the bees and sentiment. I also stamped the bees onto a scrap of cardstock, coloed with Copic markers, cut out and adhered to the card base using dimensionals. For a finishing touch, I added a bit of sparkle to the wings using a Stardust Gelly Roll pen :)
Stamps: Bee Happy
Ink: Momento Tuxedo Black, Bashful blue
Paper: White Cardstock
Accessories: Sponge, Cloud Template, Copic Markers, Dimensionals, Stardust Gelly Roll Pen

Hoo loves ya baby?

Another quick CAS card to share with you guys today :) Who says one layer has to be boring? These adorable little owls from You're A Hoot can perk up any stamping project! One of the thinks that I love is that there are a combination of sillhouette and line art versions of a couple of the same image which is great for creating quick, fun cards like this one :)
Stamps: You're A Hoot
Ink: Momento Tuxedo Black, Pear Pizzaz
Paper: Pear Pizzaz, white
Accessories: SU Markers, Dimensionals

Flowers Of Happiness

Hello everyone, I hope that you are all enjoying your weekend so far! I wanted to stop in real quick to share this card that I made awhile ago that was inspired by this card from the fabulous Heather.

*The Early Espresso card base was stamped tone on tone with the leaf image from the Flowers Of Happiness stamp set.
*To create the pleated ribbon I cut a strip of scrap cardstock that measured the width of the card and about .5 in. high. I added a strip of adhesive along the scrap cardstock and then folded the ribbon in a pleated style tacking it to the adhesive with each fold. I then used my sewing machine to sew it down the middle to keep it in place.
*Stamped the sentiment onto white cardstock with Early Espresso ink.
*Flower was stamped in Momento ink 5 times, colored with Copic markers, cut out and layered with dimensionals before being adhered to the card

Supplies
Ink: Early Espresso, Momento Tuxedo Black
Paper: Early Espresso, White
Accessories: Ribbon, Sewing Machine, Copic Markers

Kylie's Kards & FNC

Join us tonight right here on the TSG forum for our weekly Friday Night Chat!
Everyone is welcome and we love to meet new people :)

It's Friday which means that it's time for another installment of Kylie's Kards! She is still having fun inking up her very own Spread Your Wings set and has made quite a few cards this week. I am so thankful for stamping because this has been pretty much the only thing that can distract her from her 'Prednisone Hunger'. For those of you who don't know, my oldest daughter Kylie is on a high dose of a steroid called Prednisone as part of her treatment for the rare autoimmune disease (Juvenile Dermatomyositis) that she was diagnosed with at the end of the summer. One of the many undesirable side effects of this particular medicine is extreme hunger. Even after eating a complete meal, the poor thing still feels hungry and it's hard to understand for a 7 year old why she can't eat more :(

I would like to send out a HUGE thank you to all of my wonderful stamping friends that have sent Kylie stamping supplies and card kits!!! I can't even tell you how much we appreciate it!

Not only did Kylie create this card all by herself, she also staged the picture just the way she wanted it before asking me to take a picture of it to post on my blog :)

Bountiful Blessings

I have to admit that my mojo has been next to nothing for quite awhile lately. But fortunately I was bitten by the stamping bug last night and actually wanted to stamp! I ended up creating 4 cards just for fun (and I even like how they turned out lol!) and I can't even remember the last time that happened. The two cards below were so easy to create and yet look stunning in real life. Instead of actually coloring in the image, I used an Aquapainter to shade with Sahara Sand ink. This gives a beautiful depth to the image!

*Stamp set used: Bountiful Blessings
*Paper: Early Espresso, Sahara Sand, Gina K. Ivory
*Ink: Early Espresso, Sahara Sand
*Accessories: Dimensionals, Aqua Painter, Twine, SU Punches

**Below are close ups of the two different images**
