Like us on Facebook! / Freeze The Moment

When the TSG Facebook page hits 600 'Likes', I will share an awesome project I created that incorporates *11* TSG stamp sets as well as kick off a fun contest where you can win some TSG goodies!!! So head on over there now by clicking on the image above and don't forget to share the page with all of your Facebook friends so we can get to 600 as quickly as possible :)

Now on to the card!

I've been hit by the mojo truck the last couple of weeks and wouldn't you know it- it's at one of the busiest times of the year for me. Between end of the year school activities, Kylie's doctor appointments, taking care of the house and all of my regular work responsibilities it's a miracle that my stamp supplies aren't gathering dust at this point  ;)

Luckily for me the stars aligned (meaning the girls actually went to bed on time lol) and I was able to get busy and stamp! I pulled out the adorable new set illustrated by Melyssa of Whimsie Doodles called Freeze The Moment. I don't know if you have noticed or not, but I kinda have a thing for dimensionals. As this card clearly shows lol!

Are you guys ready for another fun Ribbon Carousel Challenge? This week we have a great sketch to play with :) Make sure you stop by the RCC Blog to see more examples from the DT! And don't forget to swing by the Ribbon Carousel website and pick up some gorgeous ribbon for a price that can't be beat!

For my card I used the newly released mini set Forever (which is fast becoming one of my favorites and for only $7, you can afford NOT to have this set in your collection!!). I off centered the main image panel just a bit because it didn't quite look right to me straight.

Paper: My Mind's Eye DP, Early Espresso, Very Vanilla
Accessories: Sponge, sewing machine, dimensionals, corner rounder, button, twine, ribbon, Prismacolor pencils, OMS

Day or Night / Penguin Love

It's Monday already?! I can't believe that it has been so long since I've posted on my blog! For once it isn't due to lack of mojo, just lack of blogging time. Between working and family, I've managed to fit in some time to get crafty too :)

Here is one project that I did for this week's TSG challenge which is to make a card for one of life's milestones. When I first heard what the challenge was I started to panic but when I actually started thinking about different ideas- I had a hard time actually choosing which I wanted to do lol! I decided to go with a 'new home' theme which is definitely a milestone in anyone's life.

I knew that I wanted to create a scene with my stamps (surprised?) so I went through my collection looking for the perfect tree when I came across Penguin Love. How perfect do those trees look with the Day Or Night set?? I bet you would have never thought of combining these two stamp sets together ;)

6-6-11

Ink: Momento Tuxedo Black, Poppy Parade
Paper: White, black
Accessories: Dimentionals, Copic multiliner, Prismacolor pencils, OMS

Recipe:
* Cut image panel to desired size, stamp images
* Use Copic pen to draw in grass to complete the yard
* Color images including background
* Mat on black cardstock then again on white
* Stamp sentiment in lower left corner in black, stamp heart in Poppy
* Add dimension to the image by stamping images multiple times on separate piece of cardstock, color, cut out, and adhere together with dimensionals to get the desired look
