Nature Of Friendship Blog Hop Challenge (at the end of this post)

Today's sneak peek is of the set Nature Of Friendship. This set is my favorite of this release! It is a gorgeous silhouette set that is designed to make different scenes to frame absolutely beautiful friendship sentiments. This set is easily going to become a favorite of yours!

For my first card, I took a piece of glossy card stock and sponged some light colors to make a beautiful sunrise. I then stamped the various images and sentiment in chocolate chip craft ink. After the ink was completely dry, I matted the main image with Basic Grey DP and Very Vanilla cardstock. This was a very simple card to make but I love the elegance of it!

For this second card I took the flower stem that comes in this set and used it to make a branch. I then took one of the flowers and used it to make leaves. The flowers were stamped in Certainly celery, Old Olive and Kiwi Kiss. I added some little flowers stamped in Rose Red to bring out the Basic Grey paper I used on the back panel. I added those cute little birds and that is it for the main panel!

Make sure you stop by the other Trendsetter's blogs and leave a comment! When you are done, come back here and add your name to the Mister Linky box for your chance to win a FREE set of Nature Of Friendship :)

Crazy puppy!

A couple of nights ago I was downstairs working on the laptop, the girls were in bed and Matt was in the shower. I hear a few bump noises and then Sammy (one of our dogs) yelp. I got up to check on him and first I see one of our cats, Wangster (that's what I get for letting Matt name a pet....) so I figured he must have put Sammy in his place again lol. Well, I look around the corner and this is what I see......

Sammy had somehow knocked my sweatshirt off of the coat rack and decided to climb in the sleeve LOL!! I could not believe what I was seeing! After I was sure he was ok, I grabbed the camera cause I knew that this is a once in a lifetime Kodak kinda moment :)

Thankfully I just had to help him put his head back in the sleeve and he was able to wiggle his way back out. Poor thing.... This is definitely a Stampbook Page moment lol!

Week In Review (Feb. 16-22) & Card Give Away

bI can't believe that it's Sunday already! I neeed a much longer weekend. I wish that I could report that we are starting to feel better but we are actually getting worse. We are all now getting a bad case of the sore throats. Grrr... I'm so done with this whole sick thing! Usually in our house, one person will get sick pass it to someone else until we have all had it and then we're better. Not this time, for some reason we are all coming down with the bug at the same time.

But thank goodness that I have the WIR to lift my spirits :) Looking at all of the gorgeous cards made by the There She Goes DT always brings a smile to my face!

What is Week In Review (WIR)?- WIR is where I showcase cards made by me and the There She Goes Design Team made throughout the week. Not only do you get to see gorgeous samples made by the DT but you also have the chance to WIN one of the cards! Just leave a comment on this post and tomorrow (Monday) I will pick a winner using a random number generator. That person will then get to pick their favorite card and the DT member that made it will send it to the them!

No card today, just a question~

Next week is going to be so very exciting as we lead up to the fabulous March release! There is going to be announcements, challenges, prizes and of course lots of great sneak peeks :). If you want to be among the first to be let in on the fun, make sure to sign up for the TSG Newsletter that will be going out on Monday.

To start off I have a question for you:

"If you could ask a There She Goes DT member one question, what would it be?"

I will pick my favorite question from you guys to be compiled with the questions from the other DT member's blogs.

Dollar Find Friday (Maki- Mirror)

I am soooooo thankful that today is Friday!!! I can't even tell you how much I need a weekend. I have been sick for a few days and have been working overtime to get ready for Release Week next week. Can you believe that we are at the end of February already???? My girls have been passing a nasty little cold around too so hopefully we can all get caught up on some rest and just relax.

And now here is a gorgeous Dollar Find Friday project brought to you by Maki!

**************
Happy Friday everyone! Today is my turn to show a Dollar Find Friday project. Every Friday, one of the TSG DT girls shows their altered project with an item that costs $1.00 or less.

I found the simple oval mirror at Dollar Tree and I like it because it can be come off from the frame easily. I decided to alter it with using the glass etching cream. It's a fun and easy technique. I strongly recommend to read the instruction on the bottle before start your project(s) to prevent accident(s).

Here is the list of the supplies for etching:
-Glass etching cream (I used Armour Etch and you can find at the major craft stores)
-stamps (Flowers of Friendship)
-VersaMark
-Clear embossing powder
-foam brush
Optional:
-StazOn
-ribbon (not shown)
-strong adhesive
- rhinestones (not shown)

1. Disassemble the mirror and clean the surface. For optional, I rubbed the surface with Embossing Buddy to prevent the statics.

2. Stamp the images with VersaMark and sprinkle the clear embossing powder on the image. Heat the embossed image with the heat gun and wait until cool completely.

3. With using the etching cream and foam brush, cover the entire surface evenly. Wait about 5-10 minutes and just rinse off the cream with warm water. The heated emboss powder should peel off at the same time. That's it! Your embossed images appears as non etched images :) (OPTIONAL)You can also -Stamp the images with StazOn with the etched surface.-Decorate with rhinestones, ribbon or paper pieces. That's it from me. Thank you for stopping by and have a wonderful day!!

First ever TSG blog hop!

Welcome to the very first There She Goes blog hop!! The wonderful Holly has given us the challenge to make a card based on a quote found at this site. We had to use the stamp set that she assigned us and the only restrictions were that we had to use TSG stamps but could use a computer generated sentiment if we chose.

I was assigned the lovely set Flowers Of Happiness. This is one of my favorite sets not only because I loooooove flowers but it is so versatile too! I chose the quote "Happiness held is the seed; Happiness shared is the flower. ~John Harrigan. I printed the sentiment off on the computer, ran it through my cuttlebug with the Label die by QuickKutz and decorated it with flowers. The DP is by Basic Grey. I stamped the vines on the DP and colored them with copic markers. Added a few brads, punched the corners and I'm done!

Now head on over to Maki's blog for the second stop on our first ever TSG blog hop!

Stampbooking Wednesday and some exciting news!

Happy Wednesday everyone! I'm happy to report that I made through yesterday and came out alive, but just barely ;) Thank goodness my friend Kelli came over for a couple hours to keep me company and help me pack orders. She's so great!

For today's Stampbook page, I cased this gorgeous card made by Silke. I absolutely love the soft colors!

The lighting isn't very good in this picture, I'm still trying to figure out a way to get a good picture of my Stampbook Pages. I love this picture of the girls because it has been sooo hard to try get all three girls in one picture together lately. They were more than happy to sit together for me this time because I bribed them with their new presents from their Grampa and Nina LOL! I told them they couldn't open them until I got at least one good picture :) All images used are from the set Roses & Chocolates and were colored in using colored pencils and odorless mineral spirits.

And now for the exciting news!! Tomorrow the TSG Design Team will be having it's first ever blog hop! The wonderful Holly has issued us a challenge, assigned us a stamp set and you will be amazed by all the beautiful work done by this fantastic Design Team :) The blog hop will start here on my blog at 8:00 AM Eastern time.
