Before I show you today's project, I would like to introduce to you our two fabulous Guest Trendsetters for the month of April.
All I have to say is "Queen of bad" and you most likely already know who I'm talking about.
Sherry Cheever has an amazing stamping style and she is always fun to take a walk on the bad side with ;) I am honored that she will be joining us this month and I can't wait to see what she has in store for us!
Gabby Arriaza caught my eye in the There She Goes gallery with her amazing creativity. Who would have thought that you could make chocolate covered strawberries with the heart images in Special Delivery?! I know that she is going to totally wow us with her great cards!
Welcome to the Trendsetters ladies, it's such a joy to have you on the team.
Interested in winning free stamps? Check out
this post on my blog on how you can win one of four There She Goes sets that are up for grabs by participating in our Going Away Party for the Trendsetters that will be retiring at the end of the month. This will also be the TSG challenge for this month! Please use the keyword tsg05 when uploading to the SCS gallery and add your name and link to the Mister Linky on this post.
Sneak peeks will begin on Saturday, so make sure you come back to see the new goods!!Now on to our project!
You know what I love more than a good dollar find? A freebie find! It's always nice to be able to give someone a handmade card but sometimes you need a little something to go with it. I came across a template to make a coffee/tea cup. As soon as I saw
this template I knew that it would go great with the Tea For Two and TFT Special Blend stamp sets. The cup is super easy to make and you can decorate it to match any card!
I already had a card made (that has been in my hoarding stash *blush*) and I new that I wanted to make a matching cup. I printed out the template onto Very Vanilla cardstock, cut out and added punched circles to the bottom of the template. I then trimmed off the excess part of the circles and assembled the cup. I chose to go rather simple on the cup because the card has a lot going on ;) I made the tea bag holders (with the template from Tea For Two) added a little filler to the cup and that's it! Both the cup and tea bag holders were made using scraps from the card that I had filed away. Sometimes it pays to horde scraps :)
Here is the finished project together:
I hope you all have a wonderful and safe weekend!
